KWIK-SIL™ Low Toxicity Silicone Adhesive

KWIK-SIL is WPI’s gold-standard low-toxicity silicone adhesive for chronic neuroscience research. It cures in ~15 minutes at room temperature without generating heat, bonds reliably on live tissue, and withstands days of chronic study — the go-to choice for sealing craniotomies, securing implanted electrodes, and encapsulating peripheral nerves.

KWIK-CAST™ Low Toxicity Silicone Sealant

KWIK-CAST™ is a very low viscosity, low-toxicity two-part silicone sealant developed to embed peripheral nerves with electrodes for acute multi-fiber recordings. It flows easily to fill the small spaces around the nerve, leaving no channels for peritoneal fluid that could short-circuit nerve/electrode contact. Color-coded components (yellow catalyst + blue base = green when mixed) make mixing foolproof. With a curing time of approximately 3 minutes, it is ideal for stationary preparations and in vitro tissue studies. KWIK-CAST can be applied under mineral oil, and after recording, electrodes are easily recovered due to the product's low tear strength.

Humaneway™ Rodent Tail Vein Simulators

Realistic rodent tail vein simulators for practicing injection and blood collection techniques without live animals. Available in mouse (white ICR and black C57BL/6) and rat models, each simulator supports up to 100 uses. Developed with 3D printing and soft tissue technology for true-to-life tactile feedback. Kit includes simulator, 5 infusion sets, and 2 blunt needles.

PZMV Stereo Zoom Microscope

WPI's newest-generation stereo zoom microscope for stereotaxic surgery, microinjection, and microsurgery. The PZMV pairs a 45° articulated stereo head and 100–110 mm working distance with a four-quadrant LED ring light, available in binocular or trinocular (camera-ready) configurations.

NanoFil™ Needles

Precision stainless-steel injection tips for WPI's NanoFil™ gas-tight syringe system. Available from 26G down to 36G — the smallest commercially available gauge — in blunt and 25° tri-surface beveled styles for stereotaxic, viral-vector, and ophthalmic microinjection workflows.

MCAO Sutures for Rodent Stroke Models

Silicone-coated nylon monofilament sutures purpose-built for the intraluminal MCAO model in mice and rats. Twenty size variants — matched to animal weight from 15 g mice to >400 g rats — combine flexibility with rigidity to navigate the carotid bifurcation reliably, while a proprietary silicone formulation and open-mold manufacturing deliver the batch-to-batch consistency that reproducible focal ischemia studies demand.
