KWIK-SIL™ Low Toxicity Silicone Adhesive

KWIK-SIL is WPI’s gold-standard low-toxicity silicone adhesive for chronic neuroscience research. It cures in ~15 minutes at room temperature without generating heat, bonds reliably on live tissue, and withstands days of chronic study — the go-to choice for sealing craniotomies, securing implanted electrodes, and encapsulating peripheral nerves.

KWIK-CAST™ Low Toxicity Silicone Sealant

KWIK-CAST™ is a very low viscosity, low-toxicity two-part silicone sealant developed to embed peripheral nerves with electrodes for acute multi-fiber recordings. It flows easily to fill the small spaces around the nerve, leaving no channels for peritoneal fluid that could short-circuit nerve/electrode contact. Color-coded components (yellow catalyst + blue base = green when mixed) make mixing foolproof. With a curing time of approximately 3 minutes, it is ideal for stationary preparations and in vitro tissue studies. KWIK-CAST can be applied under mineral oil, and after recording, electrodes are easily recovered due to the product's low tear strength.
