Available in both grooved and smooth rubber variants, they attach magnetically to the existing rotating drum without tools.
By enlarging the rod diameter, the task becomes easier for severely impaired animals — enabling RotaRod testing across a broader range of motor deficit severities. Switching to a smooth rubber surface removes the grip assistance provided by the grooved rod, increasing the motor challenge for mildly impaired cohorts.
