RWD Stereotaxic Ear Bars are precision-machined fixation rods designed to immobilize the animal head within a stereotaxic frame by insertion into the external ear canals. With a standard scale of 35 mm and 1 mm resolution, these ear bars are compatible with all RWD stereotaxic instruments and are available in a comprehensive range of geometries to match the anatomy of different species, from neonatal mice to cats and monkeys, and different surgical approaches.

The range includes standard angled ear bars for rats and mice, hollow ear bars for EEG or nerve recording through the ear canal, non-rupture cuff and rubber designs for delicate small animals, height-adjustable versions for angled approaches, and riser bars for elevated positioning. All ear bars feature a square 6.15 mm shank for universal compatibility with RWD and most third-party stereotaxic arm holders.
