The pCLAMP™ 11 Software Suite is the gold standard for electrophysiology data acquisition and analysis. Used in thousands of laboratories worldwide, it provides a fully integrated platform for designing stimulation protocols, recording electrophysiological signals, and performing sophisticated offline analysis — all in a single, tightly coupled software environment.

The suite consists of three core applications: Clampex 11 for stimulus design and data acquisition, AxoScope 11 for continuous background recording, and Clampfit 11 for comprehensive data analysis. An optional Clampfit Advanced Analysis Module adds powerful automated analysis tools for action potentials, population spikes, and batch processing.

  • Enhanced Protocol Editor: Design protocols with up to 50 epochs (compared to 10 in pCLAMP 10), supporting longer, more complex stimulation sequences. Sweep duration extends to 516 seconds at 10 kHz sampling — ideal for slow drug application experiments.
  • Batch Analysis Macros*: Process entire folders of data files automatically using predefined analysis parameters. Eliminate the need to configure settings for each individual recording, dramatically accelerating data throughput in high-volume studies.
  • Automated Event Detection: Clampfit 11 detects and measures spontaneous and evoked action potentials, mIPSCs, mEPSCs, and other events — with the new Minis Search feature enabling precise identification of miniature postsynaptic currents.
  • Action Potential Analysis Tool*: Automatically determines AP amplitude, APD90, rise and decay time, rise and decay slope, peak-to-peak frequency, and more from voltage-clamp and current-clamp recordings.
  • Population Spike Analysis*: Calculates amplitude, area under the curve, half-width, decay and rise parameters, coastline, and paired-pulse ratio — essential for hippocampal slice LTP/LTD studies.
  • Multi-Channel Membrane Test: The redesigned Membrane Test window displays up to 8 channels simultaneously, enabling rapid cell quality assessment and easy switching between cells in multi-cell recording configurations.
  • Enhanced Gap-Free Mode: Improved continuous recording mode supports protocol-editor-style epochs and analog/digital output commands during chart recording — perfect for monitoring minis and spontaneous network activity.
  • 24 Cursor Pairs + 1 Baseline Pair: Select up to 24 independent regions of interest per trace for precise measurements, combined with dedicated baseline and trigger line controls.
