What is the MUX Flow Switch?

The MUX Flow Switch by Elveflow is a compact matrix that integrates from 4 to 16 ON/OFF microfluidic valves in a single instrument, with all the necessary electronics embedded. Paired with an OB1 pressure controller, it lets you switch upstream flow ON or OFF in just 20 ms — fast enough for sample injection, stop-flow protocols, and complex multi-reagent automation.

The MUX Flow Switch uses Elveflow's proprietary ROCKER® valve technology, which limits flow displacement to under 10 nL per actuation. This makes it ideal for low-volume injections (sample volumes from 50 µL), pre-chip mixing, and any application where dead volume must stay minimal.
