MFP Inline Pressure Sensor by Elveflow
The MFP is Elveflow's large-range microfluidic inline pressure sensor, measuring 0 to 16 bar in liquids and gases with 2% FS accuracy and a Luer-lock connection. FFKM-wetted, temperature-compensated, and no-maintenance, it is the natural complement to the low-range MPS for any microfluidic setup needing high-pressure monitoring.

What is the MFP Inline Pressure Sensor?
The MFP (FlowPlus) is Elveflow's large-range microfluidic inline pressure sensor. It measures positive gauge pressure from 0 to 16 bar with 2% full-scale accuracy in either liquids or gases, and uses a standard Luer-lock connection for fast, leak-free integration anywhere in your microfluidic setup. Wetted parts are FFKM — an FDA-certified elastomer with broad chemical and biological compatibility.
The MFP works as the natural complement to the low-range MPS sensor: when the experiment needs a single sensor covering a wide pressure span without dead volume, the MFP is the answer. Pair it with the MSR Sensor Reader for monitoring or with the OB1 controller for full closed-loop pressure control via ESI.
Key Features
- Wide pressure range: Single sensor from 0 to 16 bar, with 25 bar overload tolerance.
- 2% FS accuracy: Reliable measurement across the full range.
- Liquid & gas compatible: Same sensor for both media.
- FFKM wetted material: FDA-certified, suitable for food-grade and biological applications.
- Luer-lock connection: Standard, leak-free integration in any line.
- No-maintenance design: Inline sensor with no dead volume, easy to clean.
- Temperature compensated: Stable measurement across 5–40 °C operating range.
Applications
The MFP slots in wherever pressure monitoring outside the low-range MPS window is needed. Common applications include:
- Pressure monitoring of third-party pumps (syringe pumps, peristaltic pumps) via the MSR Sensor Reader.
- Closed-loop pressure control when paired with the OB1 flow controller and ESI software.
- Smooth, pulseless flow generation with feedback-controlled pressure setpoints.
- Industrial and OEM microfluidic platforms needing FDA-grade wetted materials.
- Gas pressure monitoring in microfluidic and lab-on-chip setups.

What is the MFP Inline Pressure Sensor and what is it used for?
The MFP (FlowPlus) is Elveflow's large-range microfluidic inline pressure sensor, covering 0 to 16 bar in liquids and gases with 2% full-scale accuracy. With its Luer-lock connection and FFKM-wetted flow channel, it is used to monitor or feedback-control pressure anywhere in a microfluidic setup — typically paired with the MSR Sensor Reader or the OB1 controller.
What research applications is the MFP suited for?
The MFP is suited for closed-loop pressure control with the OB1, monitoring of third-party pumps (syringe, peristaltic) via the MSR, smooth pulseless flow generation, gas pressure monitoring in microfluidic setups, and FDA-grade industrial or OEM platforms requiring biocompatible wetted materials.
What are the key technical features of the MFP?
The MFP (catalog: MFP) is a gauge pressure sensor with 0 to 16 bar range, 25 bar overload, 2% FS accuracy, FFKM wetted flow channel, Luer-lock DIN EN 1707 connection, M8 sensor plug, and 205 µL internal volume. It is fully temperature-compensated, polarisation-safe, and maintenance-free.
Is the MFP available in Israel with local support?
Yes. NBT Ltd distributes Elveflow microfluidic products in Israel. Our team provides local support and application guidance for the MFP and the complete Elveflow microfluidic automation ecosystem.
How does the MFP integrate with Elveflow systems?
The MFP connects via M8 sensor plug to the Elveflow MSR Sensor Reader for monitoring, or directly to the OB1 flow controller for closed-loop pressure feedback through ESI software. ESI automatically adjusts OB1 pressure setpoints to maintain the requested flow or pressure, enabling smooth pulseless flow anywhere in the line.
