Humaneway™ LaboPal Full-Body Mouse Simulator
A full-body mouse simulator for handling and administration training. Flexible skin over simulated trachea, esophagus, stomach and lungs, so a technician can practise scruffing, carrying, oral gavage, intraperitoneal and subcutaneous injection before doing any of it to a live animal. Two skin types: white, HW-MSBW, and transparent, HW-MSBT. The transparent skin shows where the needle actually went. No tail vein access on this simulator.

What is the LaboPal Full-Body Mouse Simulator?
A mouse-sized training simulator with flexible skin and simulated internal organs. Trachea, esophagus, stomach, lungs.
That anatomy is the reason to practise oral gavage here. The tube either goes down the esophagus or into the trachea. On a simulator the second one costs nothing.
The skin is soft enough that scruffing behaves like scruffing. A new technician finds out how much pressure holds the mouse and how much is too much, before that pressure is applied to something alive.
Key Features
- Simulated trachea, esophagus, stomach and lungs
- Flexible skin for grip and pressure control
- Handling practice: retaining, scruffing, carrying
- Oral administration
- Intraperitoneal administration
- Subcutaneous injection
- White skin, HW-MSBW, or transparent skin, HW-MSBT
White skin or transparent skin
White is opaque and reads like the animal in the hand. Transparent lets an instructor see the needle inside the body and show a trainee where the tip actually ended up. For a teaching set I would buy one of each and start people on the transparent one. Which would you put in a new technician's hand first?
Where this simulator is the wrong buy
It does not do tail vein. No vein, no fluid path in the tail. If the skill you need to teach is IV injection or blood sampling, the Humaneway Rodent Tail Vein Simulator is the product for that, and it is a separate item on this site.
Humaneway also does not publish a number of uses for this simulator, the way it does for the tail vein simulators. Treat the lifespan as unknown until the first sets have been in a training room long enough to tell.

Research on laboratory mouse handling, oral gavage and injection technique, operator competence, and the use of simulators to replace live animals during skill acquisition under the 3Rs.
What is the LaboPal Full-Body Mouse Simulator?
A full-body mouse simulator with flexible skin and simulated trachea, esophagus, stomach and lungs. It is used to teach handling, oral gavage, intraperitoneal and subcutaneous injection without a live animal. Two versions: HW-MSBW with white skin and HW-MSBT with transparent skin.
Can I practise tail vein injection on it?
No. There is no vein and no fluid path in the tail. For IV injection and blood sampling the Humaneway Rodent Tail Vein Simulator is the right simulator, and it is a separate product with its own consumables.
White skin or transparent skin?
White is opaque and handles like the animal. Transparent lets the instructor see the needle inside the body, so a trainee can be shown where the tip ended up rather than told. For a teaching set, one of each.
How many times can the simulator be used?
Humaneway does not publish a figure for this simulator. The tail vein simulators are rated at roughly 100 uses and no equivalent number has been given for the full-body simulator, so treat the lifespan as unknown until sets have been in a training room long enough to tell.
Is it available in Israel with local support?
Yes. NBT is the distributor of the Humaneway range in Israel. The full-body simulator is newer than the rest of the line, so ask us for the current lead time before you build it into a training schedule.
