Elveflow Microfluidic Reservoirs
Elveflow Microfluidic Reservoirs are autoclavable adapter caps for Eppendorf®, Falcon® and glass bottles (XXS to HP, 800 µL to 350 mL), with 2- or 4-port versions and ¼-28 fitting compatibility for 1/16" OD tubing. They turn standard lab consumables into pressurisable microfluidic reservoirs for any OB1-based setup.

What are the Elveflow Microfluidic Reservoirs?
Elveflow microfluidic reservoirs are autoclavable adapter caps that convert standard lab consumables — Eppendorf® tubes, Falcon® tubes, and GL45 glass bottles — into pressurisable microfluidic reservoirs. Combined with an OB1 pressure controller, the cap pressurises the container and pushes the liquid through standard 1/16" OD microfluidic tubing into the chip or downstream instrument.
Six size ranges are available, from XXS (800 µL) all the way up to HP (350 mL), with most sizes available in 2- or 4-port versions to suit single- or multi-line setups. All wetted parts are hard-anodised aluminium with Viton O-rings for the tube adapters, or POM/PTFE caps for the larger glass bottles — making the reservoirs both durable and chemically robust.
Key Features
- Wide size range: XXS (800 µL), XS (1.5–2 mL), S (15 mL), M (50 mL), L (100 mL), HP (150 mL & 350 mL).
- Standard consumables: Direct fit for Eppendorf® and Falcon® tubes plus GL45 bottles.
- 2-port or 4-port versions: Single or multi-line outputs (depending on size).
- Autoclavable: Infinitely reusable, fully sterilisable.
- Robust construction: Hard-anodised aluminium adapters with Viton O-rings; POM/PTFE bottle caps.
- Standard fittings: Compatible with ¼-28 fittings for 1/16" OD microfluidic tubing.
- Pressure-rated: Validated across the full OB1 pressure channel range (200 mbar to 8000 mbar, plus vacuum ranges).
Applications
These reservoirs are core consumables for virtually any pressure-driven microfluidic experiment. Common applications include:
- Cell culture perfusion with sterile, autoclavable medium reservoirs.
- Reagent storage and delivery for sequential injection experiments.
- Long-term experiments needing high-volume reagent reserves (up to 350 mL).
- Organ-on-chip platforms with multi-line 4-port reservoir caps.
- Stem cell, drug screening, and toxicology assays with sterile sample handling.
- Closed-loop recirculation setups paired with the MUX Recirculation valve.

What are the Elveflow Microfluidic Reservoirs and what are they used for?
Elveflow Microfluidic Reservoirs are autoclavable adapter caps that convert Eppendorf®, Falcon®, and GL45 glass bottles into pressurisable microfluidic reservoirs. Used with an OB1 pressure controller, they pressurise the container and push liquid through 1/16" OD tubing into the microfluidic chip — providing sterile, reusable sample and reagent storage across six size ranges (800 µL to 350 mL).
What research applications are the Elveflow Microfluidic Reservoirs suited for?
The reservoirs are suited for cell culture perfusion, sequential reagent delivery, organ-on-chip platforms with multi-line caps, drug screening, stem cell and toxicology assays, closed-loop recirculation setups, and any pressure-driven microfluidic experiment requiring sterile and reusable sample storage.
What are the key technical features of the Elveflow Microfluidic Reservoirs?
The reservoirs (catalog: MICRO-RESERVOIRS) span six sizes — XXS (800 µL), XS, S, M, L, and HP (up to 350 mL) — with 2- or 4-port options. Tube adapters are hard-anodised aluminium with Viton O-rings, while large bottle caps use POM or PTFE. All versions are autoclavable, accept ¼-28 fittings for 1/16" OD tubing, and are validated across the full OB1 pressure channel range.
Are the Elveflow Microfluidic Reservoirs available in Israel with local support?
Yes. NBT Ltd distributes Elveflow microfluidic products in Israel. Our team provides local support and application guidance for the Microfluidic Reservoirs and the complete Elveflow microfluidic automation ecosystem.
How do the Elveflow Microfluidic Reservoirs integrate with Elveflow systems?
The reservoirs are designed to plug directly into the Elveflow OB1 pressure controller via standard 1/16" OD microfluidic tubing and ¼-28 fittings. They are validated across the full OB1 pressure-channel range, work seamlessly with the MUX Recirculation valve for closed-loop setups, and form the standard sample-storage backbone of every Elveflow microfluidic workflow.
