DanioScope for Zebra fish embryo and larva research

If you are interested in a scope of zebrafish embryo and larvae parameters such as embryo activity, cardiovascular measurements, morphology, and gut and blood flow, then DanioScope is just what you need.

DanioScope for Zebra fish embryo and larva research

Toolbox for zebrafish research:

  1. Automated detection of zebrafish embryos (in chorion) – minimizing manual interference
  2. Can handle situations in which the animal slightly moves by combining multiple measures on the animal at the different locations
  3. Acquire data in a batch from list of videos

Benefits

  1. Complete toolbox for measurements on zebrafish embryos and larvae
DanioScope is the complete toolbox for measurements on zebrafish embryos and larvae. The effect of substances or genetic alterations can be measured on the developing zebrafish embryo. You can analyze a range of parameters: earliest activity of the embryo’s tail, activity of the developing heart, speed of blood flowing through the vein, length and diameters of body parts.
  2. Automated detection
Automated detection of zebrafish embryos (in chorion) – minimizing manual interference.
  3. Combining multiple measures
Can handle situations in which the animal slightly moves by combining multiple measures on the animal at the different locations.
  4. Acquire data in a batch
Acquire data in a batch from list of videos.
  5. Combine parameters in one single tool
Combine activity measurements, cardiovascular data, blood flow data and morphometric parameters in one single tool.
  6. Experiment handling
Experiment handling allows you to maintain all data belonging to one experiment together.
  7. Data selection tools
DanioScope offers various options for data selection, visualization, and analysis.
  8. Graphical and numerical display
Graphical and numerical display of the analysis.
  9. Group data
Group data for analysis over groups. Both numerical as well as graphical.
  10. Re-define thresholds
Re-define thresholds after data acquisition to fine-tune results.
  11. Export
    Export data and analysis results.
  12. 24/7 support
    Backed up by 24/7 support.

DanioScope – Noldus

Academic publications and research studies utilizing the Noldus DanioScope zebrafish embryo analysis system, sourced from Google Scholar.

What is DanioScope and what is it used for?

Software that measures physiology and behavior of zebrafish embryos and larvae from video. Activity, tail coiling, heart rate, blood and gut flow, and morphology.

What research is DanioScope suited for?

Toxicology, drug development, cardiac studies and developmental morphology. Researchers at the University of Heidelberg also used it to measure breathing frequency.

What are the key technical features of DanioScope?

Works with a camera on a standard microscope, 60 fps recommended. Heart rate comes out as beats per minute and inter-beat interval, and the morphology tools measure tail length, eye size, pericardial area or any custom metric. Several animals can be measured separately in the same video.

Is DanioScope available in Israel with local support?

Yes. NBT supplies and supports DanioScope in Israel.

Do I need DanioScope or DanioVision?

DanioVision with EthoVision covers larvae behavior in well plates. DanioScope covers the embryo work under the microscope. Many labs run both.
