Instech single-channel stainless steel swivels allow continuous tethered infusion or blood sampling in freely moving mice and rats. Autoclavable and reusable hundreds of times, with self-adjusting seals that improve with use. Available in 25ga (recommended for mice), 22ga (standard for rats), and 20ga. All models include a universal swivel-to-tether clamp compatible with Instech spring tethers.
Stainless Steel Swivels for Tethered Infusion or Sampling of Mice and Rats
Instech single-channel stainless steel swivels are autoclavable and may be reused hundreds of times. Self-adjusting seals — at the heart of every Instech swivel — actually improve with use. All stainless steel models include a universal swivel-to-tether clamp which mates with a range of Instech spring tethers.
The 25ga model has the lowest torque and is recommended for mice, though it is also well-suited to rat studies where low dead volume is important. 22ga is the standard size for rats, and 20ga accommodates higher-volume applications.
