Artinis OxySoft
Artinis’s proprietary NIRS recording and analysis software — compatible with all devices, with real-time LSL streaming and .snirf export in OxySoft 4.

Powerful NIRS Recording and Analysis Software
OxySoft is Artinis's proprietary NIRS recording and analysis platform, compatible with all Artinis devices including the Brite family, PortaLite MKII, OxyMon, PortaMon, OctaMon, and PortaSync. It allows simultaneous recordings from multiple devices in any combination, synchronising all data into a single file for real-time or post-hoc analysis.
OxySoft 4
OxySoft 4 introduces a range of new features to streamline fNIRS data acquisition and analysis:
Direct .snirf export — Export data in the standardised shared near-infrared file format for cross-platform compatibility with tools such as HOMER, NIRS-SPM, FieldTrip, and NIRStorm.
Bluetooth recovery tool — Retrieves data integrity in the event of a lost Bluetooth connection during a recording session.
Device event mapping — Direct creation of events using hardware triggers, enabling precise synchronisation with external stimuli and other systems.
Signal quality index (SQI) — Intuitive signal quality assessment with an improved user interface to ensure reliable data quality before and during recording.
OxySoft also supports real-time streaming of data to MATLAB or Python via Lab Streaming Layer (LSL), and exports raw data in multiple formats. Standard analysis techniques including the modified Lambert-Beer Law (mLBL) can be applied in real-time or post-hoc.

FAQ
Which Artinis devices is OxySoft compatible with?
OxySoft is compatible with all Artinis NIRS devices, including the Brite family (Brite, BabyBrite, Brite Ultra, Brite Lite Frontal mini), PortaLite MKII, OxyMon, PortaMon, OctaMon, and PortaSync. Multiple devices can be recorded simultaneously in any combination.
What is new in OxySoft 4?
OxySoft 4 adds direct .snirf export, a Bluetooth recovery tool, device event mapping for direct trigger-based event creation, an improved signal quality index (SQI) interface, and streamlined options to provide feedback and contact support within the application.
Can OxySoft stream data in real time to MATLAB or Python?
Yes. OxySoft supports real-time data streaming via Lab Streaming Layer (LSL), enabling integration with MATLAB, Python, and other analysis environments during live recordings.
What third-party tools is OxySoft compatible with?
OxySoft is compatible with HOMER, NIRS-SPM, FieldTrip, NIRStorm, Polhemus, and more. It exports raw data in multiple formats, and OxySoft 4 adds native .snirf export for standardised data sharing.
Can analysis be performed in real time?
Yes. All standard NIRS analysis techniques — including the modified Lambert-Beer Law — can be applied in real-time during recording or post-hoc after the session is complete.
