The R550 from RWD Life Science is a multi-output, wall-mountable laboratory anesthesia machine purpose-built to deliver inhalation anesthesia to 1–5 small animals simultaneously — mice, rats, hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits and cats up to 7 kg. Each of the five mask outputs has its own independent ON/OFF toggle, so animals can be added, removed or re-positioned mid-protocol without disturbing the others. A separate induction chamber line with its own 0–2.0 L/min flowmeter lets the technician prep the next subject while a procedure is underway.
The R550 is the workhorse anesthesia bench for high-throughput rodent surgery suites, multi-animal physiology recordings, and any pipeline where serial animals need anesthesia and recovery in the same session.
