AMTI HPS400600 Force Plate
The HPS400600 is part of AMTI's OPTIMA High Performance Series (HPS) — the most advanced, most accurate force platform system available. The 40×60 cm platform is ideal for accommodating average human stride lengths and can be used in pairs for bilateral jump or balance assessments. Multiple plates can be combined to create full instrumented floor systems.

Standard or High Frequency
The HPS400600 is available in either a Standard Frequency or High Frequency model. High Frequency models can be beneficial for highly dynamic applications or scenarios with increased environmental vibrations, offering natural frequencies up to 480 Hz (Fx/Fy) and 720 Hz (Fz).
Built with Advanced OPTIMA Technology
AMTI's OPTIMA calibration technology is a revolutionary development in force measurement, offering a 10-fold improvement in accuracy over any force platform system on the market. The HPS400600 delivers exceptional measurement accuracy of ±0.1% of applied load, COP accuracy better than 0.2 mm, hysteresis less than 0.5% full scale output, and crosstalk of only ±0.05% of applied load.
Complete System Included
Every HPS400600 ships as a complete, ready-to-use system including the force plate, an OPT-SC Optima amplifier with USB 2.0 digital or analog outputs, a 30-foot force plate-to-amplifier cable, and all necessary mounting hardware including rails, epoxy, and installation fixtures.

FAQ
What is the difference between the Standard and High Frequency models?
The Standard model offers natural frequencies of 310–380 Hz (Fx/Fy) and 370–380 Hz (Fz). The High Frequency (HF) model uses a composite top plate and achieves natural frequencies of 480–570 Hz (Fx/Fy) and 720–730 Hz (Fz), making it ideal for highly dynamic movements or environments with increased vibrations. The HF model is also significantly lighter at 18 kg vs 28 kg.
What capacity models are available?
The HPS400600 is available in two Fz capacity models: 1000 lb (4450 N) and 2000 lb (8900 N). The lower capacity model offers higher sensitivity, which is optimal for lighter subjects or more precise measurements, while the 2000 lb model suits heavier loads and more forceful activities.
Can multiple platforms be combined?
Yes. Multiple HPS400600 platforms can be combined to create instrumented floor systems for more dynamic or complex movement assessments. Two plates used in parallel are ideal for bilateral jump or balance studies. AMTI's Modular Rail System (MRS) provides flexible configurations and supports future lab expansion.
What outputs does the system support?
The included OPT-SC Optima amplifier provides both digital USB 2.0 output and analog output, giving researchers flexibility to connect directly to a PC or to third-party data acquisition systems.
What is the OPTIMA calibration technology?
OPTIMA is AMTI's proprietary calibration technology that delivers a 10-fold improvement in force measurement accuracy over conventional force plate systems. It enables measurement accuracy of ±0.1% of applied load and COP accuracy better than 0.2 mm, making it the most accurate force platform system available.
