The Incapacitance Tester Librae measures hind-paw weight distribution asymmetry as an index of spontaneous pain in osteoarthritis, neuropathic pain, post-surgical, and inflammatory models. It is widely used in drug efficacy screening for analgesic and anti-arthritic compounds in mouse and rat models.
What species versions are available?
The Librae is available in three versions: 47882 (Rats), 47883 (Mice), and 47885 (Combo for both species).
What is the measurement range?
The instrument measures animal weight per paw from 20 g to 2,200 g with 0.05% to 0.1% precision.
How is calibration performed?
Calibration is fully automatic, performed directly via the 4.3-inch resistive touch-screen.
